A Hummingbird In The Container Garden

A sweet little hummingbird in the backyard.

A sweet little hummingbird sat on a planter cage in the container garden.

This hummingbird has a few red patches on the neck.

This is a short slideshow of the sweet little hummingbird sitting on the planting cage.

  1. You are so lucky to have gotten such great pictures and footage! My hummingbirds will not stay still for me. Once I nearly ran into one in the field because we were on a collision path. It hung for a moment midair, before it flew off in another direction. But that was just a split second. I did not get a picture.

    1. Thanks, Aya. I truly think these city hummingbirds have less fear because they are hungry, so adapt to their environment. They also realize looking for food on patios is safer than being near freeways, or other places cars roam. I had another bird foraging for seeds on my patio today, but did not get a chance to take a photo.
