Today is the first day of the A to Z Challenge for the month of April, and I will be writing about looking aloft. I grew up in the mountains, and always found myself looking up at the sky and the pine trees above, so when I moved down to the Inland Valley, I continued to look aloft. My opinion is people get way too caught up in rushing around, and they never really take the time to experience the beauty around them. I believe looking at trees and mountains can be quite soothing, so looking aloft at the top of pine trees in the mountains, and palm trees in the city is quite inspiring. Actually, many of my photographs inspire my artwork, so taking pictures of things I enjoy looking at is crucial for me.
These are lovely photos. They make me wish I could be there.
It was fun taking pictures of the view from above. I will enjoy the pictures you post on your blog today as well.
I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments…taking time to enjoy. Fabulous A! For A-Z Blogging Challenge!
Glad you enjoy taking the time to just enjoy the moment. I will have to stop by your blog as well!
Beautiful pictures! And such a great reminder to me to take my eyes off the sea of as-yet-barren trees outside my window to the brilliance of the blue sky above. I actually took a deep breath and felt more energized! Wonderful start for your A to Z!

Thanks for your lovely comments. I feel the same way about the sky, but the ocean is amazing, too.
Living in San Diego, these mountains are familiar and beautiful.
I love the mountains down in San Diego, and the San Gorgonio and San Bernardino Mountains do look very similar to the ranges down in your area.
Beautiful view of the mountains; that must have been an adjustment when you moved off the mountain!

I love the mountains, but it is easier to live here in the Inland Valley on a daily basis. No long treks for shopping, and I can always go back up the mountain when I want a bit of nature.
That’s beautiful. Like wow. I am a mountain person (as you’d have seen from my blog) I have seen some of the majestic Himalayas when I’d traveled north of India. These are just brilliant. Cheers.
I would love to see the Himalayas. I will have to check out posts that you have about that on your blog.
I loved Montana and Colorado for the big skies. Now I live in the middle of the Andes Mountains, in Cuenca Ecuador. Amazing views…I have to remind myself to look aloft more often.

Maybe because you live up so high in the Andes you do not need to look up as much.
