Power Lines In The Desert

Usually, I just photographed the more natural side of the desert, but sometimes I do capture the artificial parts of the landscape.

Today a friend mentioned how one desert scene I captured looked more industrial, and that was part of the reason I did not post it at first. I feel like only the beautiful nature scenes are worth posting, but the manufactured components in the desert have been there decades before my birth, so I always grew up looking at the large pylons connecting power lines between the mountains and the desert. As a kid, I used to think of large pylons as wearing long full skirts and funny large hats.

The beauty of the boulders, chaparral, and hills are still clear juxtaposed the metal power lines.
