H Is For Hiking With The View of Hesperia

Today I went on another hike on the north side of the San Bernardino Mountains. One of the perks of jaunt in nature was the view of Hesperia in the valley below.

Gneiss Granite Rock
This granite rock is an gneiss rock because it has stripes on it, which are layers created over thousands of years.
Small green yerba santa plants are growing on this trail.

Stripes appear through these flat granite rocks on the side of the mountain. These rocks were most likely blasted in half when the road was carved into the side of the mountain.

    1. California is such a large state, so there are many places to hike. I think you will enjoy it, when you do come out here to hike.

    1. The San Bernardino Mountains is definitely a beautiful place to hike. I think you might enjoy the diversity to be found in this mountain range.
