Making Hummus Salad

Today I decided to make hummus salad for dinner.

Today I made a hummus salad. Basically, this is just a salad with homemade hummus on top. The salad itself had romaine lettuce, tomatoes, zucchini, and purple onions. I sprinkled more purple onions on top of the hummus.

To create the homemade hummus, I pureed sesame seeds, garbanzo beans, olive oil, lime juice, chili pepper flakes, and a slightly roasted red bell pepper.

    1. The homemade hummus tastes good with the pureed sesame seeds, but I have noticed that using tahini makes the hummus much smoother. I just decided to use the sesame seeds since I have so many, and do not want to spend money on tahini at the moment.
