The other day I purchased a new camera, but I have yet to download the manual. Yes, I would love to purchase a DSLR or another high end camera, but that is not exactly in my budget. This camera is 16 mega pixels, and takes more detailed images than my previous camera that only took 8 mega pixel photos. Currently I am just looking at my camera see what I can do without the manual. Okay, this probably sound ridiculous to people who read manuals through before using a new camera, but the CanonPowershot A1400 came without a manual, so yes, I need to stop writing about this and go download it.
Nonetheless, I was still impressed with the quality of photos I obtained without having first read through the manual. Anyone who has ever owned a camera can figure out the basic functions, and that is what I actually like about this camera. I purchase it for about sixty dollars on Amazon, and it is five times better than the digital camera I purchased back in 2008, which was over two hundred dollars at the time. This just goes to show that digital camera technology has improved immensely, and since so many people are just using their smart phones to take pictures these days, people who prefer real cameras can buy these for much more reasonable prices now. The prices of cameras excellent pictures will continue to come down as people spend several hundred dollars on smart phones, so perhaps it is just a matter of time before a DSLR would be a reasonable purchase.
The camera that I used to take the pictures in this post is the one shown above.
