    1. Cars cannot go up to the top of Mount Baldy all the way, but people can hike to the top. The reason it is nicknamed Mount Baldy is because at the higher altitudes there are very few trees, and the mount looks “bald”. The real name of the mountain is Mount San Antonio, but by the locals it is just known as Mount Baldy.
