U Is For Walking Up The Hills

In Southern California I have walked up many hills due to our mountainous and desert like topography. Here is one local hill I always enjoyed walking up.

Some people think you must go to the gym to get exercise, but I am all about getting out and about to enjoy nature while being active. The benefit of walking up local hills is that this is a work out that will not cost a dime, and you can see birds and other native plants like I did in this vlog I created last June.

  1. Walking up the hills is one of the most demanding exercises there is. I applaud you for being in such good shape. When I was walking a lot in Taiwan I was still very winded every time I had to go up a steep hill, despite all the exercise I was getting on a daily basis.

  2. I do hope I can walk up the Downs here … I’ve had a new hip and I’ll be interested to see how I go – but being able to get out and up looking out of the countryside will be wonderful … and without pain I hope – cheers Hilary
