    1. The funny thing is a local small town is called Blue Jay, but it is a misnomber. Actually, the jays up in our mountains are Stellar Jays, but interestingly, they are more of a vibrant blue than actually Blue Jays. We have a few real Blue Jays that live in the San Bernardino Mountains as well, but the Stellar Jays are the indigenous bird to the region.
