Z Is For Zemene

I had no clue what to write about for the letter Z, so today I decided to write about a zemene smoothie. The word for strawberry in Latvian is zemene, so this is the topic of my last post for the A to Z Challenge. Yes, I blog about strawberries frequently, but these are in season at the moment, so why not share this delicious fruit that I enjoy putting in my smoothies.

Zemene is the Latvian word for strawberry, which is fruit in this smoothie.

I added the clementines and bananas to the strawberries and almond milk, which had already been pureed.

The video illustrates how I made the strawberry, banana, orange smoothie from start to finish.

  1. I didn’t know the word, but I do love a good zemene! Thanks for all your hard work during the A-to-Z Challenge. Loved seeing the food photos, and visiting a place I haven’t visited.

    1. It was a fun challenge, but I feel like I got slogged down this month because I also agreed to read and review my friend’s book on my other blog. I am glad I can go back to the list and comment on blogs at my leisure.

    1. I am glad you finished the challenged as well, Birgit. I will have to come by and read some more of your posts, too.
